For an extra $1,495, the Golf GTI Performance Package adds 10-HP, larger brakes and electronically-controlled torque-sensing limited-slip differential.
Seventh-generation Golf GTI improves performance, fuel-efficiency and weight.
NORTH HILLS, Calif., July 2014 – Galpin Volkswagen, the nation’s fifth-ranked volume dealer, announces today the arrival of the all-new 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI.
“We’re excited to finally showcase the 2015 Volkswagen GTI at Galpin Volkswagen,” said Mike Schwartz, general manager at Galpin Volkswagen. “The new Golf GTI model is the best one to date.”
The seventh-generation Golf GTI starts at $24,395, making it a smart choice for consumers looking for affordable everyday performance. Add $1,495, and you get the Golf GTI Performance Package, which includes larger brakes, electronically-controlled torque sensing limited-slip differential and 10-HP boost over the regular GTI model.
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI features a 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection engine that makes 210 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, which are 10-HP and 51 pound-feet higher than the previous-generation GTI model.
“The new Golf GTI model is a winner. The handling and performance is superior to any other hatchback out there,” said Schwartz.
While it’s bigger and more spacious than the previous model, it’s also lighter and more fuel-efficient. The Golf GTI comes in with an EPA-estimated highway fuel economy rating of 34-miles per gallon, for models equipped with the manual transmission.
