Ford Motors had three segment award recipients; the Ford F-150, Expedition and C-Max in the J.D Powers 2015 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout study. The Ford F-150 achieved the highest rankings for a large, light duty pick-up truck.
It’s the second year in a row that the Ford F-150 received the honors. In order to conduct the study, J.D Powers asked Ford owners to evaluate a total of 77 attributes of their vehicle in order to garner an overall index score measured on a 1,000 point scale. The Ford Expedition led the pack in the large SUV segment and the C-MAX received top marks for the Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle Award.
The J.D study examines customer satisfaction including how gratifying the particular vehicle is to own and drive. The Ford F-150 garnered top scores when it came to performance, comfort, features and instrument panel and style. It also garnered top marks for owner-reported fuel economy. The 205 Expedition garnered the highest marks possible in the following categories; powertrain, overall performance and design, performance and comfort.
